A few things before you apply...
Booth spaces are 8'x8' and are $150. There is a limited amount of 10x12 spaces available for $200 and 6'x6' spaces available for $100. The booth fee is due once we have notified you of your acceptance.
Rockford Handmade is juried/curated in order to ensure the quality and variety of the products being sold. All RETURNING VENDORS must reapply. A committee will choose vendors based on how well their wares fit the feel of the market and the quality and uniqueness of the product. If you want to share a booth with another vendor/business please apply together. Use one main contact name but provide business information and pictures from both vendors.
Booth rental fee includes:
- Secure access to building as early as 10:00 a.m. for early set up.
- The Vendors Salon where free drinks (non-alcohol), and snacks are available all evening long.
- Name & web-link from Rockfordhandmade.com website as well as handmade Facebook page. In addition to numerous tv/radio spots advertising The Handmade Market. WREX/WNIJ/WIFR
- Booth side menu & bar service to all vendors. (A server will happily take your food or drink order directly from your booth)
Applications are due by Monday, October 31, 2016. You will be notified of your acceptance status by Friday, November 4, 2016 at the latest. Payment is due in full, no later than Friday, November 11, 2016. In case of your cancellation, your booth fees are non-refundable. Payments can be made by check payable to The Prairie Street Brewing Company, credit card or cash.
You will be responsible for registering your small business with the IRS and collecting sales tax (information and instructions for doing so will be provided along with your acceptance notification). You will need to collect (and pay) sales tax on items you sell. The current tax rate in downtown Rockford is 9.25%.
Food and beverage vendors must be able to present food permits. Food and beverage vendors must apply and pay for food/beverage permits at least 14 days prior to the event. Temporary food permit applications are available at the following website at www.wchd.org.
***PLEASE NOTE: If you don't have a website or if there are no product pictures on your website then please email 3-5 pictures of your product and booth to email@example.com. This must be done before we can process your application.
